The awkward first post…

Or Hello World!

I hate first posts. They’re so awkward!

Anyway. Hello. *waves* Thank you for visiting my blog/website.

This is me right now:

I have no idea what I'm doing

Er, not the dog bit. But the I have no idea what I’m doing bit? Definitely!

I’m just starting the road to self-publishing my novels. It’s exciting and scary and even more exciting again all at the same time! This isn’t happening anytime too soon – I still have more revisions to do and I haven’t even finished tweaking the cover yet, although to be honest I could tweak it forever and still not be completely happy with it – both book and cover!

I’m just getting things sorted online – I’ve started a blog and opened a Facebook page (to be fair, I haven’t told a soul about it yet as there is nothing on it!) Me, with a Facebook page! People can actually ‘like’ me! (Can’t see that happening much, but still!)

So, sorry that the website is still a bit bare, and a bit ‘coming soon’-ish, but hello anyway and thank you for visiting! Please don’t be afraid to say hi!

  1. Jaime, be sure to have your followers judge your cover. If more than eighty percent think it’s good, then you’re on the right path. I am actually pretty good at designing. I have discovered the following motto helps when swimming in unknown or dangerous waters: KISS: Keep it Simple Stupid! Go to saltygurl.com and look at the cover I designed for my first novel. My husband thinks it’s pretty good…and he is QUITE the critic! If you put your cover up, I will give you my honest opinion…even if i hurts…

    • Thank you for the tip! I just had a look at your website, and I like your book cover! Very nice!
I’m planning to post my cover over the weekend, so I would love it if you could tell me what you think of it then! Thanks!
